As it currently stands, we have room for 40 approved, adult chaperones to go with the Piedmont Band to Atlanta for the BOA contest. The cost per chaperone will be $65.00.
Price includes:
Bus Transportation for duration of trip (approximately $32 value per person)
Hotel (double room with another adult chaperone, $85 value)
Breakfast at Hotel
- No food (except breakfast in the hotel) is included for chaperones or students. All meals will be “on your own.”
Ticket into Georgia Dome (prelims both days, $36 value)
- Tickets and bus seats are reserved for parents/legal guardians of 2010 band members.
- 20 chaperone tickets are General Admission passes
- 20 chaperone tickets are Field Passes (prelims both days)
- Field passes are mainly for Piedmont Pit Crew and are only good for the field access when Piedmont is performing. Other than that, Field Passes are considered General Admission Passes for the remainder of the day and the opposite day of Prelims.
- If we do not make finals, we will be going home after prelims. We will NOT watch finals.
- If we make finals, then all original 40 chaperones will get a Finals ticket for Saturday evening’s performance ($23 value).
If we have more than 40 adults interested in going, we will accept as many as we can get on the bus. However, these chaperones will not have a ticket to BOA. They will still need to pay the $65, which will include the cost of the bus (approx. $32 per person) and the hotel ($85 per night). You are still getting a good deal, just not a ticket. “Bands of America” only provides so many tickets for each performing group.
Chaperones that do not get the “chaperone” ticket will need to purchase General Admission tickets at the box office of the Georgia Dome or you may purchase them online at www.musicforall.org. All seats are “select-a-seat.”
After we get our original 40 chaperones, we will only have room for 12 more adult chaperones due to seating limits on the charter buses.
Email Mr. Lukac IMMDEDIATELY (jody.lukac@ucps.k12.nc.us) to reserve your bus seat and prelims ticket for Bands of America. It will be first come, first serve.
Money will due by September 24, 2010. You may pay anytime prior to this date.
