PIEDMONT MARCHING BAND
FLORIDA 2012
Dates: April 9-13, 2012 (Monday – Friday)
- This is during spring break. Students will NOT miss school.
Who gets to go?
- All students performing in the 2011 Piedmont Marching Band are invited to perform AND play in Walt Disney World this spring.
- Younger siblings are discouraged from this trip, only because we need chaperones that can give their entire focus and energy on the safety of the band students. Thank you for your understanding in this mater.
- There are 106 seats available. We have room for 90 students and 16 chaperones. First Come, First Serve.
Trip Prices:
Quad Room Rate - $465
Double Room Rate - $570
- Prices are LESS than the 2010 band trip AND include an extra night in the hotel!!!!!
Price includes:
- Transportation (includes all costs associated with the charter buses)
- 4 Nights in Hotel
- 3-Day Hopper Pass to Disney World (no water park…sorry)
- Magic Music Days Performance
- 4 Hot Breakfasts at Hotel
- $45 Meal Card for WDW
Chaperones:
The double rate is for chaperones only. Chaperones will have the opportunity to pay the Quad Rate if they are staying in a room with their child and 2 other students. Written notes from the other students’ parents stating that it is ok for that adult to stay in the room must be submitted with the first payment.
- ALL Parent Chaperones MUST be approved volunteers with Union County Public Schools.
- We will only take 2 charter buses. Seats will fill up quickly.
- Parents that would like to be a chaperone can email Mr. Lukac at jody.lukac@ucps.k12.nc.us starting at 8:00am on FRIDAY, April 1st. All emails prior to this date and time will not be counted in the initial count as a chaperone. We are trying to keep this as fair as possible.
- At this time, we will accept 16 ADULT chaperones (first come, first serve). Once we reach our total of 16 chaperones, all other names will be put on a waiting list. After August 5th (first payment date), chaperones on the waiting list will be notified if there is room available on the bus. This is to ensure that we keep enough room on the buses for all students that want to participate.
- ALL chaperones must ride the bus in order to get the price quoted above.
Payment Schedule: (Please do not make late payments.)
- August 5 – $150 (or more) deposit paid per person (non refundable)
- This payment will determine if we can accept more chaperones. Please do not be late with this payment so we can get an accurate count of trip members.
- Any money still owed to marching band fees will first be applied to the balance due, and then the remainder of the balance will be applied to the Disney Trip
- September 1 – $100 (or more) per person (non refundable)
- October 3 – $75 (or more) per person (non refundable)
- November 1 – $75 (or more) per person (non refundable)
- Dec. 1 - $65 or remaining balance PAID IN FULL (non-refundable)
Itinerary
Monday, 4/9 – Leave for Florida in the early morning, Downtown Disney for Dinner
Tuesday, 4/10 – Day 1 @ WDW and Magic Music Days Performance (MK or EPCOT)
Wednesday, 4/11 – Day 2 @ WDW
Thursday, 4/12 – Day 3 @ WDW
Friday, 4/13 – Check-out of Hotel and arrive at PHS around 7pm.
